Automatic Inline Vacuum Former IF Series Overview | Specifications | View PDF Brochure The IF Series of Inline Vacuum Forming machines are fully automatic, roll fed, with infrared oven for maximum heat penetration, automatic outfeed, and a finished sheet guillotine cut-off system. The film advance is achieved by a double roller chain with spike attachments. The infrared oven (which is stationary over plastic) is the best heating system for thermofoming applications. The oven is fully controlled for uniform heating, divided into 12 to 15 zones, depending on machine size. This provides accelerated cycling, and energy savings. A water-cooled mold platen, and high-powered cooling blowers are standard features that also allow faster cycling.
The forming area is adjustable on both sides. The 40" can be adjusted down to 20" and any size in between, without any additional parts required. The heater section that would not be used can be turned off. The 25" can be adjusted down to 20" and any size in between, requiring a new cooling plate and two cross bars on clamping frame. All motions and functions are coordinated using a PLC with Touch-Screen Operator Interface and Memory. Programs can be stored and later recalled when required. The IF Series comply with all known safety regulations, and are completely safe, even for unskilled operators. The structure is of heavy gauge welded steel.
